Built along the San Pedro Creek Culture park, The Continental combines offices, retail, multi-family and short term lease amenities. From the beginning of this project our team has been a part of the design and naming process, involving deep dive research into the building and areas history. The new building Continental Residences is sandwiched between the Araña Office Building (facing Market Street) and the Continental Hotel (facing Commerce Street). If my research serves me right the Araña was once the headquarters on San Antonio’s Spanish language newspaper La Presa and the Continental opened at the turn of the century and served as the meeting place for revolutionary leaders like Francisco I. Madero and the Flores Magón brothers.
